Becket July Property Transfers Show Wide Price Gap, Few Disclosed Sums

Becket recorded 12 property transfers between July 3 and Aug. 1, but only four carried a disclosed sale price, ranging from $6,500 to $200,000, with a median of $70,412. The month's top sale was 260 Sherwood Dr. at $200,000, sold by Nancy Chassman and Donald J. Lyon to Adams Community Bank. Four of the 12 transfers moved property into family trusts, and two of the four disclosed sales listed a bank as buyer. With most deeds lacking price data, the period's overall market tone cannot be characterized as strong or weak from the available figures alone.
